Less than .5 miles from The Cottonwood Cabin lies Wines of The San Juan.  A beautiful, quaint vineyard with fabulous wines and scenery.  Say hello to the wild peacocks that frequent the grounds!

Navajo Lake is home to crystal clear waters and incredible fishing.  Check out the marina for boat, jet ski, and house boat rentals.  

The San Juan River is home to world-class fly fishing.  Check out the 4 mile stretch just below Navajo Dam known as the "Quality Waters."  This is a truly exceptional experience for the angler in your family.  

The Cottonwood Cabin is within a short drive to incredible skiing.  Purgatory in Durango is within an hour or venture out to other locations such as Wolf Creek or Telluride.  

New Mexico is home to vast cultural experiences, many within a short drive of The Cottonwood Cabin.  Check out the 900 year old ancient village at the Aztec Ruins.
